Trip Overview

Pumori is one of the premier 7,000 m peaks that lies in the upper Khumbu region of Nepal. It is ideal for those looking to pursue the 8,000 m peaks, or a fantastic climb in its own right. The route follows the Southeast buttress before it traverses to the East Ridge. Normally, for the climbing it requires three camps above the base camp in its normal route via South East Ridge. Base camp will be set up at 5300m. We climb through the glaciers for approx. 4 hours and set up Camp 1 at 5700m. From Camp 1, we climb 480m on the face with 40-60 degrees slope and pass through a snow wall to set camp 2 at 6200m on a narrow ridge. From camp II, we climb approx. 450m through ice with 30-60 degrees slopes passing through ice walls and crevasses. Please note this section is prone to avalanches. Camp III will be set up at an altitude of 6480m on the ridge. Passing through crevasses, we climb up to Pumori cliff and then to the summit.

For climbing Mt Pumori it requires excellent physical endurance. This mountain offers sections of wild exposure, views of Lhotse and Everest, with technical difficulty worthy of any Himalayan alpinist. Pumori is a serious expedition peak designed only for experienced climbers.

Culture/Heritage Tour

Nepal boasts a rich cultural diversity and it is well worth exploring. The Himalayan country of Nepal is a dream-world for many and reality for some. Once experienced they can never be forgotten, never dismissed from memory whether ones experience of them is visiting age-old Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries and royal palaces with amazing sculptures, paintings, legends and living rituals. Nepal is not only regarded as "Shangri-la" for adventurers but a scenic revelation and an educational in itself to all visitors. Once seen they become a part of you, habit-forming and intrusive. We have put our best effort to incorporate all cultural delights as well as natural beauty that Nepal has to offer, which you can chose depending on your time availability.

Bunjee Jumping

Nepal has become one of the best sites in the world for bungee jumping. The country’s first bungee jumping site is situated 160m over the roaring Bhote Koshi river, located close to the Nepal Tibet border (Kodari) just three hour’s drive from Kathmandu.

Water Rafting

Nepal is also popular as one of the best destinations for white water rafting in the world. Cruising down rushing river of crashing waves and swirling rapids can make up excitement of a lifetime. Nepal’s thundering waters, coming from the glaciers of the mighty Himalaya provide unmatched thrills for rafting & immersing oneself in the beautiful landscape.

Paragliding

Paragliding is relatively new adventure sport in Nepal, and can be truly wonderful and fulfilling experience for adventure seekers. We experience unparalleled scenic grandeur sharing airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, and kites, while floating over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungles, with a fantastic view of majestic Himalayas. For the last three years this activity has been in operation in Pokhara, and it now is an internationally recognized destination for free flight enthusiasts
